The Summit is the result of two years of discussions regarding building understanding and identifying best practices among communities who greatly value Maryland’s heritage and culture and who want to establish good relations and practices to support mutual preservation priorities, access, and knowledge sharing.

This event is open to preservation and heritage professionals, students, and indigenous community members. Spaces are limited, so please register at the link below.

The session order is:
10:00-11:00 Section 106 NHPA Primer
11:00-11:30 MAC Lab Resources Presentation
11:30-12:30 Lunch
12:30-1:30 NAGPRA Overview
1:30-1:45 Break
1:45-3:30 Best Practices Panel Discussion
