How do I join?

You can join by completing the New/Renewal Membership Form and submitting membership dues via PayPal.

What are the Benefits of Membership?

  • By subscribing to the Goals of the Council and attending quarterly meetings you will contribute to the discussion of issues relevant to Maryland archeology.
  • You will receive updates on legislation involving archeological resources in Maryland.
  • You will participate in periodic workshops associated with quarterly meetings. Past events have included a NAGPRA workshop, archeological site tours, experiential archeology/anthropology workshops, and guest speakers.

What are the Types of Membership?

  • Full Members enjoy voting benefits, but must either A) hold an advanced degree (M.A., M.S., or Ph.D.) in Anthropology, Archeology, History, American Civilization or other closely related field; B) be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in one of the aformentioned fields; or C) have equivalent professional experience and be engaged in the professional activities of an archeologist.
  • Associate Members do not have voting benefits, but can particpate in meetings, CfMA events, can make their voices be heard, and enjoy many of the other benefits of membership. Associate Members must A) hold an undergraduate degree in Anthropology, Archeology, History, American Civilization or other closely related field; or B) be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in one of the aformentioned fields. 
  • A Full Membership costs $20 per year, an Associate Membership costs $10 per year. CfMA Membership follows the calendar year.
